I’m a passionate and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist with a foundation in Biochemistry and Physiology; I have cultivated a deep interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying diabetic complications and cardiometabolic diseases. Through my Master's thesis at AUB, I explored the role of GDF-15 in diabetic cardiomyopathy, focusing on NETosis, oxidative stress, and NADPH oxidase signaling pathways. I am particularly interested in a PhD in Experimental Medicine to explore innovative and translational strategies for combating metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. I am eager to contribute to multidisciplinary research that leverages biomaterials, precision medicine, and microphysiological systems to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic platforms with real-world clinical impact.
